BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Quest were contracted by flooring contractor ART to grind and polish a newly installed Flowcrete, Classic Mondeco Terrazzo floor in the foyer of a busy museum.

OVERVIEW

Quest’s main challenge was to use their smaller HTC grinding & polishing machines for the job as there was limited access to the work area.

The Mondeco Terrazzo floor was ground to expose the aggregate to a uniform finish and this was then grouted and polished using up to 5 stages of grinding and polishing pads. The floor was then cleaned and one coat of PU seal was roller applied. This was left to cure overnight before three coats of enhance seal coat were applied. All works were carried out to manufacture’s specification.

RESULTS

ART were very happy with the overall results, the finish of the floor and especially the attention to detail paid to the stairs.
