BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Quest were contracted to replace 150m2 area of flooring for a retail environment in Manchester’s Arndale Centre.

OVERVIEW

Quest began by carrying out the mechanical floor preparation of the existing screed substrate to remove old ceramic tile adhesive using HTC machinery connected to a HTC vacuum providing a dust free operation.

Repairs were then made to any substrate cracks before applying a primer coat scattered with aggregate. SIG’s, Rapid Set Tru grey, self-levelling floor system was applied with SIG overseeing the works and the use of their products.

The floor system was then finished by grinding and polishing using the HTC grinding machines and diamond tooling all to manufacturer’s specification.

Works were carried out during the night, to comply with noise regulations of the shopping centre over a period of one week. Quest worked to a strict and short deadline to be able to complete the job to program.

Upon completion, the client was very pleased with the end result and in the professional manner Quest executed the works from start to finish.
